Alicia María Alonso Izquierdo and Mónica Carril, researchers at the Biofisika Institute, appear in the 2026 national ranking of Spain’s most influential female scientists.
The classification, prepared using scientific indicators, evaluates the impact and visibility of researchers’ publications. Their inclusion reflects long and well-established careers in biophysics, molecular research and chemical biology.
The recognition also highlights the institute’s commitment to scientific excellence and to increasing the visibility and leadership of women in research.
