We invite highly motivated candidates to apply for an immediately available two research positions in the laboratory of Dr. David Rodríguez Larrea at the Basque Centre for Biophysics (IBF; www.biofisika.org) in Leioa, Spain.
The successful candidates will work on developing a next-generation diagnostic tool. It will work by measuring simultaneously many analytes using next-generation single-molecule sensors. We aim to generate molecular barcodes by ligating oligonucleotides of defined sequences. These molecular barcodes can be read one by one with a single-molecule reader (a nanopore). The molecular barcodes will label antibody-like proteins. Following the read of the barcode, the protein is translocated through the nanopore reader and the signal tells whether the antibody had a ligand bound or not.
